BYD FC4680P battery is a lithium iron phosphate battery with an energy density of 129Wh/kg, nominal capacity of 15Ah, and nominal voltage of 3.2V. It supports 0.5C charging and 0.2C discharge, with an operating temperature range of 0℃-55℃ for charging and -20℃-60℃ for discharging. The cylindrical cells enable better thermal management for higher power charging and discharging.
Compared to Tesla 4680 battery, which has an energy density of 244Wh/kg and a nominal capacity of 20Ah, BYD FC4680P battery has lower energy density but offers advantages in cost, safety, and lifespan.
